The point of least distance
A book of visual poetry that sprang from bouts of nostalgia in recent months. It goes back to my childhood days, to adolescence and adulthood, in an attempt to capture the objects that I found around my father. In time, I learnt that he had been a goldsmith, a watch repairer, a carpenter and a bookkeeper at various points in his life. My parents moved to the suburbs of Mumbai from central south Mumbai in the late 90s due to a redevelopment transfer. That is when I started my career as a visualizer. I stayed back with friends. And he eventually succumbed before he could see his new home. This is a tribute to him and for the longing that he carried with him.
